“Stories We Tell” (2012) 108′
Directed by: Sarah Paul
Production: National film board of Canada
Canadian director Sarah Poly explores her late mother’s personal story and origin, but ultimately the narration goes beyond of one particular family story and becomes an universal journey into the past.
The film will be presented by the documentary film maker, Nino Orjonikidze.
Where is the borderline between the personal life and the reflection about it? Where is the boundary between real and imaginary, between documentary and fiction? After the film, the audience will be given the opportunity to participate in a discussion around these questions.
The film will be screened in frames of the Frontline Georgia Club’s project “Open Platform”. The project is being implemented with the support of the US Embassy’s Democracy Commission’s Small Grants Program.
